    Suzuki Fronx update – recall completed

    The manufacturer’s safety recall of affected Suzuki Fronx vehicles in New Zealand has now been completed and the advice not to carry back seat passengers can be ignored. If you get any questions from customers, ask them to contact Suzuki directly.

    Online vehicle inspector application form

    From 19 May 2026, the certificate of fitness vehicle inspector application form, which is currently a PDF form, will be available as an online form. It has been added in to the existing online WoF vehicle inspector application form.

    Changes to light vehicle inspections from 1 November 2026

    The Government has announced changes to light vehicle inspections, which will start to come into effect from 1 November 2026.

    There are changes to inspections for cars, vans, people-movers, trailers and rental vehicles. There are also changes for motorcycles registered before 1 January 2000.

    This announcement follows public consultation on proposed changes to light vehicle inspections, which ran from 29 October to 17 December 2025.
