  • Relevant changes to the list of vehicles to identify when agricultural vehicles and other tractors and machines need a WoF.

3-4 Establishing whether the vehicle may be inspected for a WoF or CoF

  • Added agricultural tractors, and made changes for other tractors and machines, to the list of vehicles that do not require entry certification.

7 Definitions and abbreviations

  • New definitions: Agricultural motor vehicle, agricultural purpose, agricultural tractor

Introduction

  • This page has been re-written and now contains a new set of requirements and how they apply to different tractors and machines. There will be four types:
    • Agricultural tractors
    • Non-Agricultural tractors
    • Agricultural machines
    • Non-agricultural land management and roading machines.

2-2 Dimensions

  • New definitions: Agricultural motor vehicle, agricultural purposes, agricultural tractor
  • Note 3 added about hazard warning panel requirements
  • Table 2-2-1 and Figure 2-2-4: for front overhang, there is an increase from 3m to 4m for agricultural motor vehicles, 3m remains for all other vehicles.
  • . Table 2-2-2 and Figures 2-2-1 and 2-2-2 updated to include an alternative set of hazard warning panels, and, for agricultural vehicles, an alternative to panels by allowing excess front overhang to be painted with high-visibility paint
  • Clarify that hazard warning panels must be fitted as close as practical to the outside edge of the vehicle.

  • Some requirements have been reworded to align with the rule changes, mostly relating to safety chain attachment points and coupling pins.
