Introduction

Whether you work in manufacturing or a trade, are training to become a manufacturer certifier (HVSC-M), or are an experienced HVSC M looking to refresh or extend your skills, the NZTA HVSC manufacturer training programme provides an ideal starting point.

The programme focuses on the core skills required to be a manufacturer certifier, with an emphasis on working closely alongside heavy vehicle specialist certifier engineers.

It comprises ten self paced online modules, nine of which are compulsory for trainees. Professionals seeking continuing development may also select individual modules to suit their needs, allowing the training to remain flexible around work commitments.

If you are a trainee you should enrol in the ‘Trainee manufacturer certifier programme’, which includes modules 1-9. Completing this bundled programme costs less and ensures you have met the NZTA criteria for sitting the final assessment.

HVSC training portal

The HVSC training portal is hosted by our training delivery partner, Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau.

If you hold a degree or Level 6 diploma in engineering, completing your profile will automatically register you for the HVSC-Engineering training programme, which is specifically designed for individuals with an engineering background.

For the best experience we recommend that you access the training portal and the modules on a laptop. Some modules include detailed drawings that may not display well on a mobile phone.
