Update on WoF and CoF A check sheets

Following our recent email about changes to WoF and CoF A from 1 November, which included ADAS check sheet changes, we have received requests from check sheet providers for more time to use their remaining stock of current paper check sheets.

You can use your current stock until 1 November 2027

To support this transition period, you can continue to use WoF and CoF A check sheets without a specific ADAS field until 1 November 2027. This includes using up stock of NZTA branded paper check sheets.

From 1 November 2026 ADAS features inspection outcomes must be recorded

It is still a requirement to check that no ADAS warning of malfunction indicators are showing at inspection for WoF and CoF A from 1 November 2026. A pass must be recorded in the notes or comments section of the check sheet. A fail must be recorded in the reasons for rejection section.

Updated WoF paper check sheets are not yet available

In the email we sent you, we advised that NZTA branded WoF check sheets updated to include ADAS features would be available to order through Bluestar from 1 October 2026. We apologise as there has been a delay and they are not yet available.

We’ll now align with the transition period and use the remaining stock. The updated version will begin to be sent once existing stock is depleted. We’ll advise when they become available.
