Reminder: check your saved VPN links to keep access

AA, VINZ, VTNZ users

Disregard this message. Your internal technology support already manage your VPN access.

VIC users

You don't need the VPN to access VIC, so it isn't affected by this change.

If you use our VPN, the most secure link begins with https://

Some users still have the old URL for the VPN saved, without the s.

To keep our connections secure, we’re switching off the old link on 29 January 2026. If you try to use it, you’ll get an error message.

What you need to do

Check your bookmark or saved link to the VPN.

You can do this now, you don’t need to wait for the 29th.

If it starts with https://

Continue accessing the VPN as you usually do. You don’t need to do anything.

If it starts with http://

Update the link now to https:// so you can keep accessing the VPN after 29 January.

To update a bookmark in Google Chrome:

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Click the 3-dot menu on the top right of the window.
3. Go to Bookmarks and lists > Bookmark manager.
4. Right-click the bookmark for the VPN.
5. Click Edit.
6. Update the URL to start with https://
7. Click Save.

For further help updating your bookmarks or saved links, reach out to your usual internal technology support.
