We welcome feedback on the VIRMs, from minor wording suggestions to larger amendment requests.

Requesting an amendment to a VIRM

Any request to amend the VIRMs must come from one of the following people, by email:

• a technical manager at one of our key service delivery partners (KSDPs)
• an independent inspecting organisation (IO) representative
• a Waka Kotahi manager
• the Motor Industry Association (MIA)
• an independent manufacturer's representative.

We'll review requests regularly and let you know if we'll update the VIRMs or not. Some updates may be held and included in the next major amendment.

Please email virmupdates@nzta.govt.nz from a work email address, so we know you're authorised to make the request.

You must attach a completed amendment request form.

Portal feedback

3. Complete the webform with the exact details of the error.
