Vehicle inspectors can no longer be endorsed by inspecting organisations
22 February 2019From 1 March 2019 the NZ Transport Agency will not accept vehicle inspector applications endorsed by the inspecting organisation.

NZTA urging owners to get their vehicles re-checked
30 January 2019The NZ Transport Agency has extended the expiry date of all unused vouchers provided to the owners of vehicles previously inspected by suspended WoF providers, and is strongly encouraging them to get their vehicle’s Warrant of Fitness (WoF) rechecked free of charge.

Important information - NZ Transport Agency is changing the way it approaches non-compliance by toughening up its enforcement regime.
19 October 2018On October 15 the NZ Transport Agency announced that an extensive review of compliance files is underway and that it is toughening up its enforcement regime. An increase in the number of suspensions and other legal action is expected to follow as a result of review findings.

NZTA reviewing regulatory compliance and getting tough on enforcement
15 October 2018Today the NZ Transport Agency announced a major overhaul of the way it regulates all vehicles on the roads and licenses people working in the transport sector. This follows a continuing, independent review of vehicle certification files and the recent discovery of significant non-compliance within the industry.
