Security changes to Waka Kotahi Registers

One of the most important ways to ensure that online accounts are safe and secure is to protect and strengthen your passwords.

To keep our data safe, Waka Kotahi is introducing new password standards. This will mean that our LANDATA passwords meet the New Zealand Government standard.

We are also introducing multi-factor authentication (MFA). MFA adds an extra layer of security to everyone’s LANDATA account. When you log in to LANDATA, it will require a second piece of information (a code sent to your email) to check it’s really you.

MFA offers protection against the leading cause of data breaches, which is compromised log-in details.

To guide you through the changes we have created a memo and published it on the Agent Portal..

To view the memo you'll need to click the link below and log into the Agent Portal (using the same username and password you use to view the LANDATA or LATIS manuals – NOT your LANDATA username and password).

If you don't remember your Agent Portal password you'll need to call us on 0800 804 580 for help. Note that the password and MFA changes do not apply to the Agent Portal.
