Updated cardan shaft park brake advice and labels
We've updated our guidance for vehicle owners around cardan shaft park brakes (CSPBs).

As part of these changes, we've updated the design of the CSPB warning label (sticker).
When to order new labels
Blue Star are working to produce new labels that should be available in a couple of weeks. Please continue to use old stock in the meantime.
Order new stocks from BlueStar when you can, and destroy your old labels once you receive the new version.
Old labels are still acceptable
The old design is still acceptable for the purposes of passing a CoF.
Once you have the new labels, we recommend replacing it with the new version wherever possible.
Inspection protocol
When inspecting vehicles, please continue to follow the current CSPB testing requirements and procedures. No protocols have changed.
Remember, the certified inspector must apply the brake – not the vehicle’s driver.

Free workshops for servicing CSPBs
We’d appreciate your help promoting free training workshops from late April to early June.
They'll show people how to correctly service a CSPB, which is critical to CSPB performance and safety.
