Action taken on trucks with Sanwa Seiki brake system
16 March 2021Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is requiring the owners of approximately 1050 heavy vehicles with Sanwa Seiki park brake systems on the driver’s right-hand side to have the park brake control valve replaced and have the work certified by a heavy vehicle brake certifier.

April VIRM amendments delayed by COVID-19 now live
28 April 2020Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 1 April VIRM amendment has been modified to only include the 1 April 2020 legislated changes regarding ABS requirements on motorcycles. The other amendment changes are now delayed until the level 4 restrictions have been lifted.
