  On October 15 the NZ Transport Agency announced that an extensive review of compliance files is underway and that it is toughening up its enforcement regime. An increase in the number of suspensions and other legal action is expected to follow as a result of review findings.

  Today the NZ Transport Agency announced a major overhaul of the way it regulates all vehicles on the roads and licenses people working in the transport sector. This follows a continuing, independent review of vehicle certification files and the recent discovery of significant non-compliance within the industry.
